ABOUT THE ARTIST
Biography of Karen Gann
I was born Karen Galassi, married George Gann and am by birth half Italian and half Scandinavian. I grew up in Italy and America. Widowed for many years I have three children, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A Harvard graduate in European History and a graduate of the Rudolph Schaefer School of Design I designed residential interiors and started painting to decorate my house, illustrate my flower arrangements and my garden. Residing part of the year in Italy I was invited to join the Associazione Romana Acquerellisti in which group I have exhibited since 1996. I now live alternately in northern California and in Rome, Italy.
